[writing] Sweet, sweet, publication

My poem is at last seeing print. I was aware that this kind of thing is a long process, and indeed, it's been a year between acceptance and publication. I'm pretty juiced. I'll be even more so when the cheque arrives, first money that I ever earned by my pen (metaphorically speaking.) Woo! It'll be in the upcoming Spring edition of Room of One's Own. I'm very pleased, not only because I really enjoy the journal, but also because they took one of my favorite poems.

I really need to get some more submissions out there. My goal, when I quit my serving job, was to alway have at least five doing the rounds, and I have fallen greviously down on this resolution. I have one out, as I recall. I simply must do better.
