[writing] more people like me!

Well this is turning into the best week ever. And now that I've said that, I'll probably get hit by a bus on the way to work. Regardless! Good things are happening to me.

Last night I got an email response back from a literary journal I'd submitted some poetry to, and they want to publish one of my poems. (insert happydance) I've been submitting for about 2-3 years now, semi-regularly, and I have a nice fat wad of "thank you, but no" notes to prove it. And now, one shining "thank you, we'll take it" note. Funny how it seems to balance so perfectly.

I realise this isn't my ticket to fame and fortune or anything - no one has made a living writing poetry since the industrial revolution - but it is damn exciting.
