Aside from the word debt, how's the actual story coming? If you're approximately 15% into it, some meaty plot and character development should be occurring. If it is, I say huzzah! As for me personally I can see my story's lineaments fleshing out, so I am more satisfied with that than with reaching high word limits. But that is just me.
