I had a bad day too yesterday, not because I didn't meet my quota, but because I started resenting the whole project. 1667+ words a day leaves me with no time to do anything else. I'm thinking that I'll change my ultimate goal from "winning" to "participating" with a smaller, but still challenging, daily goal. Perhaps it is different for you -- being self-employed, you might have more flexibility in your schedule -- but I'm thinking of modifying the enterprise so that I don't hate my novel at the end of the month.
I'm finding fairly easy, although my debt increases daily, lol. I tend to do my writing in the mid morning and late evenings. Having a distinct goal and daily quota has done wonders for my writing output.
I adore being at home full time. I'm so thankful that I have my sewing to make it feasable for me to do so and still contribute financially.
