[writing] Every day, it'sa gettin' closer

I've started keeping a tally for myself, as part of my commitment to a page a day done on the novel. My obsessive little heart loves to see those numbers adding up... and it helps me to know how well I'm doing overall. If I can see that I did three pages Tuesday, it helps me feel not quite so guilty about Thursday, when I did nothing. (Hey, I was busy!)

It's going very well. Logic tells me that I am still riding off my glorious week away, and that come the middle of November, it might be a lot harder to stick to my guns. But for now I am enjoying the sweet flow of it, the promise of a Done Book, the slide of the story from my head down my fingers and onto the page.

Writing is good.
